We maintain policies and practices of meticulous preparation in order to avoid accidents. These practices have led to the accident free history and are our best guarantee for your safety and well being. With more than 6 years of guiding experience in Patagonia we have not had an accident. Patagonia Learning Adventures, Ltda. provides trained, experienced guides and logistics teams. We carry radios and/or satellite phones and the local expertise needed to ensure that your expedition is as safe as possible considering that it is taking place in a remote area of the world characterized by wilderness conditions and powerful, rapidly-changing climatic forces.

Adventure tourism and travel to remote areas inherently involve an element of risk. Normally that risk is manifested in unexpected changes to travel itineraries or expedition routes. Sometimes though, personal injuries can occur with more serious consequences. It is crucial to your safety that you understand and accept that this risk is a shared responsibility. If the possibility of a change in schedule or accident is not acceptable to you then you should not participate in adventure tourism or travel to remote areas.

Should you be willing to accept the risk involved with adventure tourism and travel to remote areas, please note that we do not provide insurance as part of our programs. However, we do insist that all groups and participants are insured with a policy that includes comprehensive coverage, evacuation and repatriation.

We are vigilant about always putting your safety and comfort first. This can sometimes mean disappointment. This disappointment is easily accepted by our groups and participants when the potential danger is understood. Should you have any questions about the safety and risk management of your expedition, please feel free to discuss plans and practices with our owners and management team, as well as your guides in the field.
